We are expanding and looking for an energetic, self-propelled Game Artist to join our creative team. In this position you will create compelling, emotionally impactful designs that increase player satisfaction while enhancing the established style and brand. You'll have the opportunity to use your inspiration, creativity, and experience to deliver experiences that are not only visually outstanding, simple to use and fun to play, but are also designed with a user-centered approach to ensure that we are adding value and meeting the needs of our users. We have a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you will work with artists, game designers, and programmers in the creation and implementation of leading-edge games and features.
Salary Range for this position is as follows:

• Starting Salary Range: $68,000 - $89,000 with short term incentives
• Full Salary Range: $68,000 - $109,000 with short term incentives

Your XP, Badges and Skill Tree:

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience as a Game Artist, Visual Designer, or UI Designer
• Experience with mobile app development in shipping at least one high quality title
• Demonstrable experience working on multiplayer, social, or casual games
• Experience with Unity implementation and product builds
• Ability to generate creative concepts
• Positive, coachable, and collaborative spirit
• Can move fast and turn around art quickly in a startup-like environment
• Provide creative solutions from concept sketch to final artwork
• Ability to wear many hats and juggle many tasks while delivering on time
• Solid 2D illustration abilities as well as 3D modeling
• Ability to work in a variety of styles including realism
• Experience with storyboarding and animation
• Ability to create solid UI design when needed
• Knowledge of major 3D software packages including Maya, Zbrush and Substance
• Advanced Photoshop & Illustrator skills
• Strong sense of color, light, and design
• Solid design, typographic, layout, and compositing abilities
• Animation experience and solid understanding of animation software
• Able to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations
• Experience collaborating with engineering / art to diagnose and resolve issues
• Tech savvy, self-motivated and prolific with a desire to lead by example
• Ability to innovate within technical limitations

Your Mission

• Mobile app development - iterative for both games and features
• Art and design for games & app features
• Conceptualize game ideas, concepts, and visuals for new apps
• Work collaboratively with clear communication

New Adventures
Collaboration is key! Throughout your first year you will work closely with game designers and artists to help create new game concepts. You will also help realize those ideas from sketch to final product within our established pipeline. With your fellow art and design colleagues, you will develop and advance our visual style by creating high quality game art and prototypes to engage and impact player engagement to grow our business! We hold each person accountable for their actions and expect you to be a positive influence that executes assigned tasks while helping your team members whenever possible. Since you are always growing as a(n) artist/designer, we expect that you will be able to take feedback professionally. Having the ability to develop art while managing project expectations in a timely manner is how we roll!
