Glassware Coordinator

Position Summary:

Catalent Pharma Solutions is hiring a Glassware Coordinator for the Morrisville, NC site. The Glassware Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and implementing activities to attain strategic objectives within a single functional area or department with supervision, coach and mentor others amongst this division, and drive department level improvements.

This is a full-time role position: Monday - Friday, days.

The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is Catalent's Center of Excellence for Analytical Services and is also home to Catalent's Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for pMDI, DPI and Nasal Sprays.

The Role

• Assist in cleaning metal, glass, rubber or plastic labware
• Interfaces with vendors and coordinates pick-up and drop-off of lab coats, recycled materials, and various other activities
• Responsible for coordinating and implementing activities to attain strategic objectives within a single functional area or department and looks to his or her direct supervisor or other peers within the industry for guidance
• Support an area of the RTP site as the glassware technician with associated duties (i.e., will support a building)
• Identifies and independently drives department level improvements
• Provide glass washing area coverage for glass wash team members on PTO
• Trains, coaches or mentors' others on technical, personal development or business issues
• Coordinate the Glassware Notification system, addressing questions or issues and providing feedback to the lab personnel or managers
• Other duties as assigned

The Candidate

• Requires High School Diploma, or equivalent experience
• Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures
• Research and supply information relating to glass washing soaps, cleaning agents, validation of dishwashing equipment
• Knows the informal policies, procedures and practices necessary to conduct the normal function of a specific section, unit or work area
• Is aware of the role of the position and its potential impact on the working unit
• Ability to organize time for multiple tasks (major projects and daily functions)
• Delivers assigned tasks on time
• Schedules and executes work
• Function and problem solve independently without supervision
• Good communication and organization skills
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-50 pounds;
