Graphic Designer

Graphic Designer We are seeking an experienced graphic designer to take a leading role in managing the RFP process at Berglund Construction. This role is critical in helping grow Berglund's business by winning projects in the competitive construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design and the ability to maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials, ensuring we create compelling proposals that appeal to a diverse client base, including healthcare, commercial, historic preservation, building restoration, multifamily, and commercial sectors. This position requires excellent time management skills as it involves tracking and managing the often deadline-driven RFP process, ensuring all due dates are met. Key Responsibilities: Design & Development • Create visually compelling graphics, illustrations, and layouts for various mediums, including digital, print, and social media. • Develop branding materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, and signage. • Design and produce project presentations, qualification booklets, reports, and proposals. • Collaborate with the business development team(s) to create promotional materials for job fairs, trade shows, and award and sponsorship events. Project Coordination • Lead the RFP process, working closely with project managers, VPs, and external partners to gather information and create compelling proposals. • Develop visual aids and diagrams that enhance project documentation and client presentations. • Ensure all designs adhere to company brand guidelines and project specifications. • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. • Design and manage compelling presentations for when Berglund is shortlisted for projects, ensuring that our proposals stand out and effectively communicate our value proposition. Content Creation • Develop engaging visual content for the company's website and social media platforms. • Produce design assistance and collateral for marketing campaigns and project overviews. Communication & Collaboration • Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and objectives. • Provide creative input and suggestions during proposal kickoffs and project meetings. • Liaise with joint partners, architects, and team leads when preparing joint proposals. Job Qualifications and Skill Sets: • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in graphic design (agency or in-house). • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and other relevant design software. • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative solutions. • Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Location: The ideal candidate will report to the Chesterton, Indiana, office every week, with flexibility for hybrid opportunities.
