Job Title:Junior Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will support the department by processing and reconciling a variety of accounting documents, preparing reports, making deposits, and coding financial transactions. The Junior Accountant will maintain strong internal communication with other departments and external communication with customers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Schedule:7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm
Pay Rate:$60,000-$70,000 Based on Experience
Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the staff accountant with accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions and reconciliations
*
Monitor aging accounts and perform timely customer collection duties
*
Maintain accounts payable and ensure prompt payment of invoices from vendors
*
Serve as a liaison and assist internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, Inventory, and Warehouse with accounting matters
*
Monitor customer invoicing systems (manual and EDI) to ensure invoice receipt; research and resolve rejected invoices
*
Prepare monthly reports to support promotional allowances and rebate programs
*
Research payment discrepancies and update the accounting system as needed
*
Assist with monthly account closings
*
Perform credit card reconciliations and analyze general ledger accounts to correct discrepancies
*
Enter, update, and retrieve accounting data in the NetSuite system
*
Support internal and external audits, including annual and bank audits
*
Establish and revise work methods, forms, formats, and standards to improve efficiency
*
Serve as backup to the Staff Accountant and Accounting Clerk during absences
*
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
*
One year of progressive experience in financial accounting preferred
*
Two-year accounting or related degree highly desirable
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel
*
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
*
Ability to understand and apply accounting guidelines, system updates, and revisions
*
Ability to reconcile and balance financial transactions and accounts
*
Capable of multitasking and adapting to meet deadlines
*
Acute attention to detail
*
Excellent communication skills for interacting with individuals at all organizational levels
