Head of Technology

Since 2006, AEA has pioneered innovative crop nutrition consulting and products, serving growers on over 4 million acres across North America. Our mission is to guide growers to regenerate soils and produce more nutritious crops with higher yields and better quality. Advancing Eco Agriculture is seeking a skilled Technology Manager to join our team. This individual will oversee the development and implementation of technology strategies that enhance our services and operational efficiency. You will own the domains of Budgeting, Timelines of Projects, Product Ownership and Development, User Experience, Quality Assurance, Technology Architecture. The Technology Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure that our technology solutions align with our mission and drive innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive Development of in house apps and software.
• Must be able to work across departments to meet needs of entire org.
• Develop and implement the technology strategy to support business objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Oversee the management of technology projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technological needs and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure the security and integrity of data and technology systems.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to assess their potential impact on the company.
• Provide training and support for team members on new technologies and tools.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners to optimize resource allocation and performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Developer experience and experience being hands on with developers.
• Must know (at a minimum) Javascript, Node.js, SQL, Vue, Nuxt.
• Must be able to manage infra on: AWS, Heroku, Vercel, Digital Ocean.
• Involved with successful launch of internal and external apps.
• Proven 5+ years of experience in a technology management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing technology projects.
• Strong understanding of data management, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Passion for regenerative agriculture and a desire to make a positive impact in the industry.
