Job Overview PEOPLE MANAGER: No GENERAL SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the Senior HCM Manager, responsible for turning large data sets into actionable intelligence by developing and applying mathematical models to employee data across the employment lifecycle. Will be the subject matter expert on HR data and support all areas of Human Resources with the development and analysis of HR metrics and impact studies. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Supports HR in collecting and compiling HR metrics and data from a variety of internal and external sources including the human capital management (HCM) and payroll outputs, employee and customer surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources. • Makes recommendations to stakeholders on the organization and set up of data in HCM tools to allow for extraction and analysis and configures accordingly. • Identifies appropriate data sets from legacy and external systems to be migrated to current HR data storage and reporting systems to allow for current and future reporting. • Prepares reports of data results and insights, presenting and explaining findings to HR leadership, and provides best practices and strategic input to support organizational direction. • Uses analytics techniques to identify trends in people data, partnering appropriately and creating scalable solutions, program and/or process enhancements to improve the employee experience, drive talent outcomes, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices. • Researches and selects external benchmarks to provide relative performance analysis and metric on efficiency and effectiveness of talent management practices. • Develops and applies mathematical models on structured and unstructured data sets to provide detailed analysis of current state and make predictions of likely outcome of changes to current policies and practices. • Performs other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Data Science, Statistics, or related field. • Three (3) plus years of experience developing and applying mathematical models to large data sets. • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the above. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Knowledge of relational databases for potential query and reporting, i.e., Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, etc. • Skill utilizing data analytics visualization tools. • Ability to probe for, evaluate and synthesize data from disparate data sources to draw interpretive insights. • Ability to utilize both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and a broad range of study designs. • Ability to analyze diverse sets of data and develop key findings. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, both inside and outside the organization. • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects within short timelines. • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. • Ability to understand the organization’s HCM, Payroll, and similar employee management systems. DESIRABLE • Experience with analytics related to human resources (ex: workforce, talent). • Experience with Workday PRISM. • Experience with SQL, SAS, and/or SPSS. • Experience on quantitative focus (e.g., social science, economics, mathematics). EFFORTS • Works in an office environment. • Sits for extended periods of time. • Uses near-visual acuity in reading written documents and statistical data. • Performs moderately complex mathematical computations.
