Job Title: HSE Specialist

• Report to: Site HSE Head
• Location: VN / M&S site - District 9
• Job Type: Permanent full-time

About the job

1. Ensure that activities of the site comply with Corporate's Health - Safety - Environment (HSE) policy, requirements, standards, and guideline as well as meet with local regulatory requirements, participate into creating safe workplaces and environmental protection.

2. Deal effectively with HSE-related issues arisen during site's operations.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Develop or ask for assistance from team member to develop HSE-related SOPs for site's operations.

2. Identify HSE training needs, make training plan, develop training materials, and provide trainings when necessary to employees and follow-up HSE training with HSE Officer.

3. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all HSE SOPs are clearly communicated.

4. Conduct regular gemba(s), inspections, or observations at all areas on sites to make sure all HSE-related requirements are fully complied.

5. Support other departments to conduct risk assessments for all activities on site, and to come up with proper control measures, based on hierarchy of control measures, to minimize risk of injury to employees and other incidents.

6. Proceed and follow up implementation of important HSE programs, for example managerial safety visits, near-5S, weak signal reporting, One Hour Stop for Safety, HSEQ day...

7. Conduct investigation of accidents or incidents, identify preventive actions, follow up progress of corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities or deviations found from Global Sanofi HSE audit, HSE Regional Business Head's visit, planned general inspections...

8. Provide enough and timely information on HSE to support sites' activities, for example sharing information on incidents and accidents from other Sanofi sites, conducting risk assessment for production processes and coming up with appropriate control methods.

9. Coordinate with Administration Department to ensure relevant employees are subject to occupational health check-up as per Sanofi's and local requirements.

10. Make all periodical reports on HSE as required by Sanofi, including but not limit to, monthly Dashboard, monthly Safety report, quarterly report on sustainability, annual report on VOC report and HSE management, annual environmental monitoring report, annual report on hazardous wastes and labor injury...

11. Prepare materials for and attend quarterly HSE management review/ HSE Committee meetings as required.

12. Get updated any new regulatory requirements on HSEs, understand and implement requirements if applicable to ensure compliance for the sites in terms of environment, medical affairs, labor safety, chemical safety, fire protection..., coordinate with other departments in implementation if necessary.

13. Conduct on-the-job training and develop skills for HSE officer.

14. Organize quarterly meeting and drill all scenarios of emergency with Site Emergency Response Team, lead site emergency evacuation.

15. Do other HSE-related works as required.

About you

1. Education: University or post-graduate in Engineering, Science, Environment, Safety or industrial Hygiene

2. Related experience: At least 3-year experience in management of HSE in industries from multinational companies, preferable in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing

3. Core Competencies:
