Internship Details:
- Required hybrid work schedule in our downtown Austin office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- Dates: June 3rd - August 8th
What you'll be doing:
- HR Operations
- Support HR operations by assisting with various tasks including data auditing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Assist with creating and distributing monthly wellness newsletter
- Talent Acquisition
- Aid in administrative tasks related to employer brand/recruitment processes, such as scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, updating email templates, and maintaining applicant tracking systems
- Talent Management/Operations
- Support employee training and development programs
- Coordinate logistics for employee engagement events, such as team-building activities, social gatherings, and recognition events
- Collaborate with HR team members to develop and maintain employee recognition programs, including ordering and distributing employee swag, gifts, and rewards
- Assist with onboarding activities for new hires
- Partner with talent management to update and organize job descriptions
- Office Administration
- Notify managers of their team's upcoming birthdays and anniversaries
- Assist with event planning (including intern event), set up, and clean up
- Update interior office monitors to display key business updates and employee spotlights
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Management, Human Resources or Business Management
- High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
- You enjoy working with others and being part of a team
- Communication skills - with both a technical & non-technical audience
- Ability to work 40 hours a week
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information
Essential Job Functions:
- Regular, on-time attendance
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, copier and telephone
- Ability to use office computer programs such as e-mail, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Occasionally remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
