Your Role and Responsibilities

– Translate business requirements into “high-level” design solutions including mapping documents and SQL
– Structure and oversee each iteration to deliver maximum team productivity
– Conduct regular standups and prioritization sessions
– Create test cases and prototypes; perform tests in development test and production
– Provide feedback to team on their performance collaborate on solutions for issues
– Coordinate/provide education for product owners fellow team members or end-users
– Arrange agreements with upstreams and downstreams before connection is implemented and maintain those agreements over time

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Brand subject-matter expertise is Required. The candidate must be familiar with:
– mainframe hardware: CECs Engines MIPS Memory LPARs features orders
– mainframe software: licenses value metrics aggregation MSUs Value Units
– mainframe revenue: hardware software brands/divisions majors/minors unbundling
– familiarity with advanced concepts is a plus: leasing maintenance storage royalties sub-capacity on-demand offerings

Background
– Bachelors Degree in Mathematics Computer Science or similar
– experience working in a mainframe development environment (10+ years)
– advanced experience in software development using SQL (10+ years)
– advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS (10+ years)
– deep knowledge of relational database theory and database design
– extensive experience synthesizing business requirements into technical designs
– strong database-related skills such as building ER-models implementing ETL and job scheduling
– understanding of the DevOps approach to software dev/test/deploy/maintain
– expert-level knowledge regarding the Agile approach to software development
