What you will do:• Support development and implementation of Baker Tilly's visa & immigration strategy, policies, and programs. Drive program improvements, maximizing vendor capabilities and stakeholder engagement.• Manage day-to-day service delivery of U.S. and international immigration matters including:
o Plan, execute, and hold signing authority for immigration matters related to new hires, current team members, and international assignees.
o Manage annual H-1B cap process and DOL PERM strategy and processes.
o Manage inbound and outbound secondee arrangements including contracts, housing, and visas.
o Accurately maintain Public Access Files (PAFs) to support government inquiries and audits.
o Manage immigration program general communications as needed to impacted team member populations, business leaders, and People Solutions.• Partner with the Combinations team to explore immigration impacts of acquisition activity.• Develop and implement immigration reporting.• Manage relationship with external vendors including external immigration counsel.• Develop and deliver immigration related training to the Talent Attraction team, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders.• Provide advice/recommendations/tracking as it relates to cross-border remote work situations.• Work closely with the Baker Tilly International Network to support the Secondment process.• Support the development and implementation of Baker Tilly's work abroad program alongside representatives from other areas of the business. Drive program improvements and stakeholder engagement. Process and support work abroad requests.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:• Bachelor's degree• 5 or more years of relevant work experience• Strong technical knowledge and experience with U.S. immigration• Exposure to work abroad or secondment programs• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work in a confidential environment with exceptional attention to detail• Highly organized with an ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently• Ability to use sound judgment to drive complex issues to resolution and comfort with ambiguity• Demonstrated ability to set expectations so internal clients understand timelines, deliverables, and the process to achieve target outcomes• Strong technical skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint
Additional Information
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $89,290 to $189,240. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
