IT Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between our business and IT teams. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing business needs, defining system requirements, and ensuring technology solutions align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, innovative, and skilled at translating complex business processes into actionable IT solutions. Key Responsibilities IT Strategy & Planning • Partner with business and IT teams to analyze issues, evaluate system performance, and recommend solutions. • Support new software implementations and system enhancements through functional specifications and business case analysis. • Provide subject matter expertise on applications, processes, and solution options. User Experience Analysis • Document current-state and future-state solutions, requirements, and design specifications. • Support Agile project teams by creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint planning input. • Provide testing support and assist with reporting as needed. Requirements Gathering & Definition • Facilitate requirements workshops across business units to identify end-to-end solutions. • Define functional, reporting, security, and technical requirements in collaboration with developers. • Work closely with QA teams to support system and user acceptance testing. Quality Assurance & Project Support • Manage small projects or workstreams as needed. • Act as liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and QA to ensure successful delivery. • Perform unit testing and validate that solutions meet business needs. Project Analysis & Reporting • Conduct analysis of project-related issues, risks, and dependencies. • Prioritize and execute tasks in fast-paced environments while adapting to changing priorities. • Maintain logs for issues, risks, and key decisions; prepare clear and concise status reports. Qualifications Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field. • 3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or in a systems-focused role. • Strong knowledge of SDLC, system development methodologies, and requirements gathering. • Experience with Agile frameworks (Epic, Feature, Story creation processes). • Proven ability to map business processes (Visio, Lucid, or similar). • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Experience supporting full project lifecycles, from initiation through deployment. Preferred: • PMI-PBA, CBAP, or CAPM certification. • Agile certification (CSM, AAC, or similar). • Industry experience in construction or building a plus.
