Summary
This position is in the Defense Media Activity (DMA), Mission Support component, Enterprise Architecture and Requirements. The Mission Support Component provides the software and infrastructure support and sustainment for the DMA Enterprise in CONUS and OCONUS.

Qualifications
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
- Must have five years of experience in the IT/IA field, have worked previously as a systems administrator and a security technician.
- Assessing components of IT security in support of an agency's enterprise mission networks, systems; providing assessments of all IT systems for the following categories: risk, firewalls, security policies and procedures, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), CyberSecurity Assessment Tool (CAT), Threat and Vulnerability, network/server scanning, viruses, compliance, security countermeasures, security system integration, and the assessment and authorization (A&A) process Defense Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF).
- Directs and controls assigned Information Assurance (IA) services and provides specialized Information Security (IS)/IA services throughout the DMA enterprise.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

You must have Information Technology (IT)-related experience which demonstrates proficiency in each of the following four competencies listed below:

Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

This position has been identified as covered by DoD 8570.1-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program. As a condition of employment, the incumbent must obtain and/or hold IAM III certification(s) within 6 months of employment. Failure to maintain IAM III certification(s) and comply with background investigations may result in the termination of employment.
