Summary
THIS IS A DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION
This position is in the Excepted Service under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)
This position is part of the G6, District of Columbia National Guard under Position Description NumberT5234000.
*This is NOT a remote position*

- The incumbent of this position MUST obtain a Top Secret Clearance
- Irregular and overtime hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies.

- May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Security + and CISSP Certifications REQUIRED
- This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program and Veterans Preference.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE Experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use
or adaptation of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experiences that prepared the applicant to perform the duties of the position. The applicant's accredited educational-degree study program; or other military or civilian academic courses may substitute for some specialized experience. MUST HAVE at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty are in an organization. Experience leading and assigning work of personnel.

4. If education or a degree is required as part of the "Specialized Experience", you must include transcripts.
Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - For the GS-5 level, a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirements. At the GS-7 level, one full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. At the GS-9 level, a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree may be substituted. At the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

The certification should also include when your terminal leave will begin, your rank and dates of active-duty service.
- If you are currently serving on active duty and expect to be released or discharged within 120 days you must submit documentation related to your active-duty service which reflects the dates of service, character of service (honorable, general, etc.), and dates of impending separation.
Superior Qualifications and Special Needs Pay-setting Authority may be considered for this position. Commanding General is final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to federal employees or those with a 90 day break in service). This must be approved prior to your appointment date.
