This position is part of the IT Organization located in Muskegon, MI and will be on-site. During the initial phase, you will have a part time-assignment to the project and be part of implementing the IT services on the site. Maintaining and developing IT and OT services onsite which includes but is not limited to campus, manufacturing, and lab environments with high availability requirements.

The IT Systems Engineer will be part of a local IT team on site but will also work closely with our global teams and our site in Uppsala - Sweden which have the same set of services. Most of the work requires being present at the site.

What you'll do:

• Computer Service usability and availability, monitoring, proactive maintenance, server and security patching, incident and problem handling, and administration and documentation.
• Second line Server hosting support
• Interact with global IT teams and colleagues onsite in Uppsala- Sweden, be part of both local and global project within IT and OT environment.
• Perform changes according to change control. GxP and non-GxP environments.
• Lead, administrate, implement, test and document implementation of platform and server changes.

Who you are:

• Extensive experience as a System Engineer/Specialist, managing backup/recovery, ESXi virtualization platform, storage, Active Directory, and virtual servers.
• Experience in Windows server and Linux platforms.
• Experience working in secure, segmented, and high-availability environments.
• General experience and understanding of applications, Network and client environments.
• Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• ITIL experience.
• Good cyber-security awareness and experience managing cyber-security tools for the server and hosting platform.
• Experience providing services in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and laboratory environments.
