Janitor

Overview We are seeking a self motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both industrial and commercial settings. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Assist with custodial duties in various settings including industrial sites, commercial buildings, and residential properties as needed. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. • Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. • Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning projects efficiently and effectively. Skills • Experience in industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning preferred. • Familiarity with custodial practices and facilities maintenance techniques. • Knowledge of floor care methods including buffing and waxing is a plus. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and facility occupants. • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
