Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. • Conduct commercial cleaning duties in various settings such as offices, industrial sites, and residential properties. • Carry out floor care activities including buffing and waxing as needed. • Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance to ensure all areas are well-kept. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. • Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment. • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks. Experience • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus. • Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is beneficial. • Experience as a porter or in facilities maintenance roles will be considered an asset. • Ability to perform residential painting tasks can enhance your candidacy.
