Janitor

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently. Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Carry out industrial cleaning duties in commercial settings, ensuring all areas are sanitized and well-maintained. • Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or necessary repairs to management. • Provide porter services as needed, including moving furniture or equipment for events or maintenance work. • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring hygiene standards are met. • Handle custodial responsibilities with care, ensuring all cleaning supplies are used safely and stored properly. • Occasionally assist with residential painting tasks as required to support facility upkeep. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment such as buffers and industrial vacuums is a plus. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness across various environments. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. • Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods while performing cleaning duties. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
