Junior Accountant

Junior Staff Accountant Location:Philadelphia, PA (3 days/week onsite) Compensation:$65,000 annually Role Overview: Our client, a growing moving and storage company, is seeking aJunior Accountantto join their dynamic accounting team. This role will primarily focus on accounts receivable, collections, and supporting various accounting tasks. Ideal candidates will have some professional experience in accounting, strong communication skills, and an understanding of basic accounting principles. Key Responsibilities: • Manage accounts receivable, including preparing and verifying customer invoices. • Follow up with customers on outstanding payments, ensuring timely collections. • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts. • Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure accurate billing and payment processing. • Prepare aging reports, account reconciliations, and financial reports for management. • Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks and support process improvements in billing and collections. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in accounting, ideally with accounts receivable or collections. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks is a plus. • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. • Professional demeanor with a team-oriented attitude.
