Laboratory Research Associate

Education and Experience

Minimum Required

• Associate's degree WITH at least 2 years of clinical laboratory or research experience

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline or health care

Work Environment

• All work is performed in offices that require working in close quarters with other employees. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Lab coat, gloves, and goggles as needed.
• Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 25 lbs. Handles blood and body fluids.
• Most work is performed in heated and air conditioned surroundings.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, walking reaching, standing and sitting. When performing laboratory assignments, eyewear, gloves, masks/face shields must be worn according to NYS Dept. of Health, and UHSH Infection Control, and CDC Blood and Body Fluids Policies and Procedures.
