Schedule: 12‐hour shifts (Days and Nights) and every 3rd weekend

- Level 3: Clinical ‐ Access to non‐restricted patient information
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- Current NYS RN License
Preferred:
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
- Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
As a part of our team, you will care for a variety of complex patients. This will require you to constantly be open to learning and growing throughout your career as an emergency nurse. Being assertive, adaptable, and not afraid to ask questions are key qualities that will help you provide the most successful care to your patients. Working closely with your team, including our Providers is also essential. We work hand in hand and have a very trusting and respectful relationship.
Your orientation period is completely tailored to your experience and comfort with your training. We will work closely with you to bridge any gaps and ensure that you are able to provide the best possible care to your patients. Your orientation period will begin with you working 8‐hour shifts with your preceptor and you will have regular check‐ins with our nurse educator. After your orientation period, you will transition to a 12‐hour shift schedule. All of our ED RNs work 12‐hour shifts and every third weekend. We provide our RN staff with training in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric trauma, critical care, and more.
