Job Description
Summary
This position is located in the Naval Support Activity, Regional Support Services Program, Morale Welfare and Recreation Department, Commercial Activities Division, Golf Branch. Incumbent is to perform a variety of duties necessary for the maintenance of the golf course tees, rough and adjacent areas to keep them in the best possible playing condition. This position is located at MWR-SEWELLS POINT GOLF COURSE NORFOLK, VA.

Qualifications
A qualified candidate possess the following:
The employee must be able to follow verbal instructions. Ability to read and write is preferred. Must have a general knowledge of lawn care, ability to operate mowers, hand tools, and maintenance equipment. Must be able to drive vehicles such as pickup trucks. The ability to operate all types of turf equipment is strongly preferred.
Education
This position does not have a positive education requirement.
Additional information
Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required. We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee's eligibility to work in the United States. Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within 60 days of issuance of selection certificate. For positions requiring travel more than twice per year, selectee may be required to obtain and maintain in good standing a Government-issued Travel Card for official government travel purposes.
