Laser Operator

Our client, a leader in precision manufacturing, is seeking a Laser Operator II to join their team. As a Laser Operator II, you will be part of the production department supporting quality assurance and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title:Laser Operator II Laser Machine:Machine: Mitsubishi ML3015EX-F60 Location:San Jose, CA Pay Range: $25-$35 hr • Weekend Shift:Fri 1:00 PM – 1:50 AM, Sat 9:00 AM – 9:40 PM, Sun 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM • Note: Weekend shift earns 4 hours of OT on Friday and Saturday What's the Job? • Operate the laser to consistently produce quality parts in the most efficient manner possible. • Utilize in-depth knowledge of “G” code to modify multi-part commands and optimize cutting conditions for improved edge quality. • Produce fixtures used to modify or support the production of parts. • Provide technical support to estimating and production teams for quoting and manufacturing processes. • Perform routine machine servicing, including mirror alignment. What's Needed? • Minimum 5 years of experience in precision sheet metal. • At least 2 years of laser-specific experience (Amada laser systems preferred). • Ability to speak and read English. • Proficiency in basic math and a working knowledge of trigonometry. • Strong print reading skills and understanding of print features including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
