Looking for a Legal/Operations Associate
The Loaded and Open World team is in pursuit of a Legal/Operations Associate to help organize and operate our complex legal document system. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly detail-oriented, strategic, creative, resilient, coachable, and never shies away from a challenge. They should have experience working on contracts in a variety of forms and functions - ideally including talent representation, marketing sponsorships, consulting agreements, and more. They should also be interested in building proficiency across a variety of operational challenges, including working with the Sales and Talent teams on the deal contracting process, as well as assisting in M&A diligence and execution.
The Legal/Operations Associate, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, will be responsible for organizing and streamlining our growing set of legal responsibilities across all facets of our business. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting the COO on a variety of internal company organizational elements.
On any given day you might...
- Analyze and draft a variety of contracts, including professional services agreement with clients, vendor contracts, and subcontractor agreements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to negotiate favorable terms and conditions, balancing legal requirements with business objectives
- Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive advice to mitigate such risks
- Stay current with relevant laws and regulations impacting agencies and consulting firms, providing insights and recommendations to the business units
- Help manage and resolve contract disputes, collaborating with internal teams and external parties to find efficient and equitable solutions
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts, amendments, and legal communications
Ideally, you have...
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience practicing contract law, preferably in the marketing or gaming industry.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, with a focus on marketing, sponsorship and/or professional consulting services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex legal concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Exceptional analytical skills to assess legal risks and provide strategic advice
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing legal support and guidance
- Meticulous attention to detail in contract review, drafting, and management
- Effective and efficient time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Have a deep knowledge of gaming video content, and adjacent communities
- Have worked directly on gaming influencer sponsorship contracts at an esports team, endemic sponsor, or gaming developer/publisher
