The Mission

The role of the of ML Engineer is to combine knowledge of IT domain with strong Machine Learning technical skills. 

The mission is to work as an experienced engineer in a squad whose goal is supporting Data Analysts/Scientists and Development/Optimization of their models.

Your contributions will help in leveraging data analytics tools and techniques to reach our business objectives (boosting digital sales, making customer interactions even more personal, etc.) 

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

• 1. Maintain Google Cloud Infrastructure resources & programs according to a set of coding standards

• 2. Participate in technical analysis design & estimate duration of programming and unit testing phase

• 3. Be part of a CI/CD environment

• 4. Work daily with VertexAI

• 5. Work with: Python, Terraform, Airflow, Kubernetes, DataProc, Azure DevOps

• 6. Keep the technical documentation up to date with new/changed technical design details during implementation & provide technical insight, actively participate in feature analysis

• 7. You take responsibility of your code - from IDE to local development environment to production

• 8. Perform unit testing and register tests results after implementation to assure that every component of the application that was added or changed is working properly

• 9. Provide technical support existing applications

• 10. Being involved in a data science project from the beginning to the end and ownership of the project E2E

• 11. A modern & agile environment

• 12. Provide workshops & trainings

• 13. Set standards in MLE world and drive best practices

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience:

• You have a minimum of +5 years of experience in ML Area

• In Banking industry is considered a plus

• Tech stack/ knowledge:

• Mandatory:

- Solid understanding of Python

- Solid understanding of OOP concept

- Experience working with infrastructure as a code

- Experience with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform, including AutoML, custom training, and model deployment

- Basic understanding of ML frameworks (Pandas, Numpy SciKit-Learn)

- Experience with Python, Spark, Terraform, DataProc, Azure DevOps, Linux, Jupyter Notebooks, BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage

- Experience working within Continuous Delivery or Continuous Deployment processes

- Understanding of the benefits of unit/integration testing discipline

- The strong foundational knowledge and ability to adapt to new technologies and paradigms that are often found in development experts are considered more important than most missing nice to haves in this list

• Nice to have:

- Nifi and Kafka knowledge

• Soft skills

- Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Good communication skills, awareness towards emotional intelligence factors

• Foreign languages: English (advanced)

• Education: nice to have bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an IT related field
