Job Overview:
We are seeking Machine Operators Level II and III (level is based on years of experience) to join our dynamic manufacturing team with a 10-hour schedule. The ideal candidate will have consistent work experience in a manufacturing environment for a minimum of 1 year or more. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate assigned machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Load and unload materials into machines.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions and need for minor repairs.
• Monitor machine operation and make minor adjustments as needed.
• Perform quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet specifications.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Complete basic production documentation and logs.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication, as needed.
• Use PDA to request/send materials to specific work areas.
• Open boxes with materials to sort materials and transfer to designated area.
• Manage the solid waste (boxes, plastic wrap, foam, etc.) disposal.
• Collaborate with team members on the assembly line for efficient production flow.
• Adhere to safety protocols while handling materials and operating machinery.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the manufacturing facility.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Operator Level I:6 months-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Operator Level II:Proven experience as a Machine Operator in manufacturing operating complex machinery with knowledge in troubleshooting with 2-5 years of experience
• Operator Level III:Proven experience as a Machine Operator in manufacturing operating complex machinery with knowledge in troubleshooting with 5+ years of experience
• Self-starter and self-motivated.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication, collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
• Ability to work 4 days a week on a 12-hour schedule.
