Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support direct hire authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Conditions of Employment
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You may be required to obtain and maintain a current crane license.
- You must be willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
Qualifications
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below.
This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element will be found ineligible. The Screen-Out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including:
- Able to run machines/grinds metals including metal alloys and non-metallic parts.
- Program and load existing numerical control programs into machines and does set-ups including securing work piece in chuck, faceplate, and mill table.
- Perform the more difficult work under minimal guidance of a senior machinist or supervisor.
The individual checks his/her own work using tools common to the machinist trade including micrometers, indicators, and Vernier's. Mastery of established operating procedures, safety regulations, and practices is expected.
