A Maintenance Worker job is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department within the Streets and Stormwater Operations Division. The department is seeking to hire a Maintenance Worker with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.



The Maintenance Worker job responsibilities include:

• Performing manual labor duties and equipment operations as they relate to maintenance operations.
• Work four (4) ten hour work days.
• Will be available in an on-call capacity when emergencies arise.
• Position will work outside, during inclement weather, at night and on weekends for special events or emergency call-back.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED
• No experience required
• Valid Texas Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Asphalt pouring
• Concrete
• Traffic control
• Cleaning Streets, gutters and alleys
• Working with and around heavy equipment
• Experience in maintenance or construction
• Small power tools such as a chainsaw
• Hand tools such as shovel, rake and sledge hammer
