Summary
This position is located in the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of Energy (OE). OE provides political risk insurance in all sectors covered by DFC and is available to private investors, contractors, financial institutions, and Qualifying Sovereign Entities involved in international transactions. You will supervise a team of investment insurance officers involved in providing political risk insurance to the financing businesses and industry in foreign countries.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your experience in all of the following:
- Experience identifying pertinent host country political risks related to projects and applying these analyses to determine what risks should be covered and excluded in a political risk insurance contract;
- Experience managing the negotiation of political risk insurance agreements;
- Experience serving as an expert in all technical aspects of political risk insurance for projects, ensuring that project or deal analysis is sound and complete; and
- Experience developing networks and customer contacts to identify new business opportunities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
