Mechanical Engineer (2 Years HVAC/Plumbing design Exp.)

Mechanical Engineer position at Schade Engineering (SE) Skills and Experience Required • BS in Mechanical Engineering • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills • Solid project management skills • 2 Years of previous design experience with an MEP design firm. • Proficiency designing building systems in Revit software. • Completion of the Engineering Fundamentals exam preferred. Job Description You would work with our cross-disciplinary engineering staff within the office, and architects, building owners and equipment vendors to design HVAC and plumbing systems. Specific tasks might include mechanical load calculations, equipment selection, riser diagrams, mechanical system controls, energy modeling, a survey of existing conditions for MEP|FP systems, code review, and punch list preparation for the construction management phase of projects.
