This position is tailored for engineers experienced incommercial and light-commercial systems—particularly packaged rooftop units, chillers, boilers, pumps, and exhaust fans—with the ability to manage aheavy workloadand adapt quickly to diverse site demands. Responsibilities • Performpreventive and emergency repairson HVAC systems and related equipment in commercial/light-commercial settings (rooftop units, chillers, boilers, pumps, etc.). • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and urgent service interventions. • Support preventive maintenance initiatives to optimize system efficiency and lifecycle performance. • Operate a company vehicle to travel to various client properties across the service area. • Manage tools, parts, and materials; prepare estimates and documentation. • Mentor junior technicians and act as a field technical resource. • Uphold stringent safety, compliance, and operational standards. Qualifications • High School Diploma/GED or trade school credential; additional HVAC certifications a plus. • EPA Universal (CFC) Certificationmandatory. • Valid Driver’s License required. • 3–5+ yearsof field experience in commercial or light-commercial HVAC systems (industry experience preferred). • Comfortable with physical demands: lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and long days on foot. • Familiarity with digital maintenance record systems and MS Office suite. • Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and a track record of independent decision-making. • Supervisory or lead technician experience strongly preferred. Compensation & Hours • Pay Range:$40–$70/hr (negotiable based on skills) • Workweek:40 hours, field-based across client facilities in the San Jose region • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; sponsorship not available.
