We are currently seeking an Operations Analyst to join our Operations team as a crucial link in the food supply chain.
The Operations Analyst oversees special projects and assignments for Operations. The Operations Analyst will establish an interdepartmental communication network. They will also assist with operational staffing. The Operations Analyst will also assist with fleet management, software & files as well as financial reporting and operational metrics.
ABOUT THE JOB
This is a full-time position with an anticipated salary of around $70,000 to $73,000.

  • Maintain a functional and working knowledge of all technology solutions used in all Operations. (Ex. Paylocity, Produce logic, CMS, Fleet Locate, Jazz, PIT & Transportation.)
  • Navigate and provide auditing, data collection, and reports on metrics and budget. Make recommendations for improvement in tracking, trending, and reporting.
  • Oversee and report on all operational expenses including labor, temps, packaging, product, Fleet (PIT & Trucks), and other material.
  • Maintain Labor Tracking for all of operations, including temp labor invoicing, payroll audits ex: OT, LCPP reporting, etc.
  • Collect and summarize KPI data and other metrics from all operational processes for the Operations Manager.
  • Assist with managing the fleet, transportation, and PIT; Maintain equipment information by vendor and asset.
  • Develop customized presentations for the Manager of Operations for reports to senior leadership and staff.
  • Create and update SOPs / SWIs for Operations.
  • Identify problems/discrepancies within the department. Record claims and results of root cause analysis, identifying patterns/trends for prevention.
  • Support the Manager of Operations on all operational needs & special projects as necessary. (Ex. Research, organize projects, and maintain records of such).
  • Assist with the recruitment process and operational onboarding program for new employees. Ensure that all new hires have met the required training standards for the operational departments.
  • Assist with Employee Engagement activities like employee appreciation events, birthday/anniversary cards, and other special occasions.
  • Assist the Manager of Operations with ensuring that all Operational communications are delivered and understood throughout the respective departments. (Ex. memos, PowerPoints, etc.)
  • Ensure that any organizational communications are provided to all team members, documented, signed, and properly filed and sent to HR. Ensures that any other internal documentation is up to date and forwarded to HR.
  • Work with current vendors to ensure up-to-date contracts and pricing. Manage any contractual disputes like refunds, claims etc. Resolve all contractual issues with vendors, including staffing agencies.
  • Review and adjudicate vendor invoices and report to the Manager of Operations.
  • Review and analyze monthly departmental financials.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Possess think-outside-the-box capabilities; be a superior communicator and have strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in advanced analytical skills and ability to forecast based on a wide variety of complex and changing variables.
  • Specific skills using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to analyze large data sets.
  • Self-motivated and solution-oriented
  • Organized, high attention to detail, and able to balance multiple priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree or above, preferred. Requisite industry experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an administrative support or analyst role in an Industrial/Warehouse setting is required.
  • Transportation/fleet management experience is required.
