Overhead Crane Operator

Summary This position requires a skilled individual with core competencies in materials handling, crane operation, and heavy equipment operation. Additionally, relevant skills in forklift operation, boom truck operation, warehouse experience. The crane operator is responsible for pulling slab orders accurately and safely via an overhead crane. Experience with use of overhead crane and clamp truck with boom attachment is required. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the stone industry and a current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Basic knowledge of stone shop operations and fabrication is a plus. Certification required to operate machinery will be arranged by employer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Load and unload material. • Place material in inventory. • Prepare material for shipment. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. • Driving delivery truck, as necessary. • Perform additional duties as required and or requested. Qualification Requirements: • 2+ years warehouse experience required. • 2+ years forklift clamp truck with boom attachment and crane assembly. • Current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. • Basic computer skills. • Good communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Physical Demands: The physical demands of occasionally lifting, pulling, and/or moving up to 50 pounds are part of the essential functions of this position.
