Part-Time Pharmacist

Job Title:Part-Time Compounding Pharmacist Location:Summerlin, NV Schedule:2–3 days per week Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientedCompounding Pharmacistto join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality and safety standards in all preparations. Key Responsibilities: • Accurately prepare and compound medications according to prescriptions, protocols, and USP standards (<797>, <795>, <800> as applicable). • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation of all compounded medications. • Conduct quality control checks on compounded preparations to ensure potency, accuracy, and safety. • Review prescriptions for appropriateness, potential interactions, and compliance with regulations. • Maintain inventory of raw materials, chemicals, and supplies, and assist with ordering as needed. • Train and supervise pharmacy technicians or interns in compounding procedures. • Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile compounding environment, including routine cleaning and equipment maintenance. • Keep up-to-date with pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices in compounding. • Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and staff to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including audits and SOP updates. • Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding compounded medications and therapy guidance. • Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols. Qualifications: • Licensed Pharmacist in Nevada. • Experience in sterile compounding preferred. • Experience in non-sterile compounding required • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Schedule & Compensation: • Part-time: 2–3 days per week (flexible scheduling may be available). • Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
