Dessert Baker/Decorator We are looking for a Baker/Decorator to prepare different types of desserts , cookies, cakes and pies. Baker responsibilities include baking, decorating, taking customer orders, helping front of the house. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker/Decorator and be able to use recipes and decorate cakes . All of our desserts are made in-house with quality ingredients and made from scratch. Responsibilities β€’ starting work at 6:30 am β€’ Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use β€’ Bake different types of cakes, cookies, etc β€’ Experience with weighing ingredients β€’ Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g. chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and fruits) β€’ Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream and edible toppings, like flowers β€’ Prepare custom-made pastries based on customers’ preferences (e.g. birthday cakes) β€’ Track food supplies and place orders, as needed Skills β€’ Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role β€’ Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders β€’ Understanding of food safety practices β€’ Experience with cake decorating techniques β€’ Excellent time-management skills β€’ Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment β€’ Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude β€’ Able to work in early morning shifts β€’ Food Handlers Card Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Compensation Package: β€’ Tips Schedule: β€’ 8 hour shift β€’ Weekends as needed People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Experience: β€’ Baking: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: β€’ Food Handlers Card (Required) Shift availability: β€’ Day Shift (Required) Work Location: In person
