Dessert Baker/Decorator
We are looking for a Baker/Decorator to prepare different types of desserts , cookies, cakes and pies. Baker responsibilities include baking, decorating, taking customer orders, helping front of the house. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker/Decorator and be able to use recipes and decorate cakes . All of our desserts are made in-house with quality ingredients and made from scratch.
Responsibilities
β’ starting work at 6:30 am
β’ Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
β’ Bake different types of cakes, cookies, etc
β’ Experience with weighing ingredients
β’ Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g. chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and fruits)
β’ Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream and edible toppings, like flowers
β’ Prepare custom-made pastries based on customersβ preferences (e.g. birthday cakes)
β’ Track food supplies and place orders, as needed
Skills
β’ Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
β’ Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders
β’ Understanding of food safety practices
β’ Experience with cake decorating techniques
β’ Excellent time-management skills
β’ Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
β’ Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
β’ Able to work in early morning shifts
β’ Food Handlers Card
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
