Payment Operations Analyst

This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic and challenging environment. As Payment Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for processing accounting/tax documents, managing operational reference data and liaising with internal customers within the organization as well as external customers outside the organization.

Job responsibilities

• On a daily basis, processing of accounting/tax documents
• Ensuring payments/processing are made in a timely manner and any delays are promptly investigated
• Managing vendor's and internal stakeholders' enquiries
• Partner with the relevant line of business stakeholders in resolving any issues
• Support other operational teams who consume data provided by the core operations team & liaise with them to ensure there are no upstream or downstream issues with the transactions.
• Participate in a culture of continuous improvement with focus on improving processes & delivery efficiency as well as a world class customer experience
• Participate in working groups supporting strategic platform changes. Research, analyze and resolve any reconciliations needed. Develop strategies to increase cost savings and efficiencies. Lead and/or assist in various projects as needed

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

• Self-directed and motivated with attention to details. Precise execution of assignments
• Analytical & problem solving skills. Must be able to effectively prioritize and multi task
• Good understanding of Payment Operations processes
• Knowledge of Payment Operations applications would be an advantage (SAP, Ariba, Concur)
• Written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to interact with both JPMC employees and external vendors
• Good time management and prioritization skills. Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards
• Good MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) - SharePoint knowledge

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

• Degree in Accounting or previous equivalent work experience is preferred. CPA is a plus
• Outstanding analytical, organizational and research skills with attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and a good team player
