About The Team: 

The Payroll Team at Auctane is a dedicated group of professionals focused on ensuring that our employees receive accurate payroll and financial benefits services delivered in the most cost efficient and timely manner without disruption.

This Position is in Austin, TX and you will be asked to be in the office 3 days a week.

About The Role:

The payroll speicalist is responsible for a variety of accounting functions in preparation, distribution, and reporting of payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations for multiple entities.

Primary Objectives:

1. Manage full-cycle payroll processing for multiple entities.
2. Research and analyst discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
3. Apply technical payroll system knowledge.
4. Assist with the development and communication of procedures, processes, and guidelines.
5. Troubleshoot payroll issues.
6. Service as a liaison to vendors, auditors, and local and federal agencies.
7. Assist in ongoing seasonal projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:  

1. Manage Full-Cycle payroll processing for multiple entities for all types of payrolls and forms of compensation.
• Hourly Timecard Management:
• Process all Hourly/Non-exempt Timesheet edits/corrections/approvals each pay period
• Gather OT approvals when required
• Assist CS supervisors and employees with edits/corrections/approvals each pay period
• Salary Timecard Management.
• Assist salaried employees with the use of ADP WFN each pay period.
• Ensure Employee Maintenance for New Hires, Terminations, Employee Changes, and other changes are processed accurately across several platforms including ADP WFN, Vanguard, etc.
• Coordinate with and provide back up for the Sr. Payroll Analyst and Sr. Payroll Manager
• Utilize automated time and attendance software and programs in day-to-day operations specifically using ADP WFN managing multiple companies.
• Maintain updated database and time entry.
• Open and close pay periods.
• Perform semi-monthly reconciliation.
• Import and export data as it relates to the payroll process.

1. Research and analyze discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions concerning 

               payments, wages, taxes, general ledger and deductions and/or other related payroll items.

• Process wage and salary payments, audit time entries, and schedule garnishment payments.
• Reconcile all tax and unemployment liability accounts to the general ledger and investigate variances.
• Assist with preparation of quarterly payroll tax reporting and research and resolve payroll/tax reporting issues.
• Calculate and process special checks
• Handle general inquiries regarding payroll, benefits (401k, HSA, etc.), and time/attendance.
• Adhere to all internal control processes
• Generate standard reports for management including month-end reporting, journal entries, and other reports as requested.

 Process Improvement and Development:

1. Apply technical payroll system knowledge in set-up, utilization, and support of all payroll-related systems, as well as developing standard and ad-hoc reports.
2. Assist with the development and communication of procedures, processes, and guidelines focused on quality and efficiency and make recommendations for improvements and standardization.
3. Troubleshoot complex payroll system issues and provide errors resolution to the Payroll team.
4. Serve as a liaison to vendors, auditors, and local and federal agencies.
• Work with vendors to improve processes within software (issues or questions and concerns from all levels of staff).
5. Assist with ongoing and seasonal projects.
• Annual 401k Audit
• Annual Performance Review Process/Reports/Updates.
• Ad-hoc projects

What We Are Looking For:                                         

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of three - six (3-6) years of experience with full-cycle payroll processing.
• Current experience with and in-depth knowledge of ADP Workforce Now

What will Make You Stand Out:                                                    

• Experience using online systems such as Charles Schwab, Vanguard, and NetSuite.
• Experience administering a corporate 401(k) plan and/or Equity Compensation.
• Member of American Payroll Association.

The Tech:                                       

• Advanced Excel skills required (VLOOKUPS and PIVOT Tables).
• ADP WFN Payroll.

Travel Requirements:              

• Less than 5%
