Pharmacist

Job description The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, ensuring medication safety, and taking a role in improving patient outcomes through effective medication management. Responsibilities: • Dispense prescription medications accurately and in a timely manner. • Provide medication counseling to patients regarding proper usage, side effects, and potential interactions. • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management. • Monitor and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations including CMS requirements for dispensing durable medical supplies. • Provide immunizations and other healthcare services as needed. • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Requirements: • Current, active pharmacy license in NJ. • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmacy law. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. • Experience with Rx30, ScriptPro, ParataPass, DME billing, and USP795 compounding is preferred, but not required. • Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
