We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. This position includes the possibility for a Supervising Pharmacist if the ideal candidate is available. Job Description – Duties/Responsibilities
• Under the general direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services, the Registered Pharmacist provides direct patient care and wellness services to the company’s patients and serves both internal and external customers.
• The Registered Pharmacist reviews medication orders against the patient's medication profile in accordance with State/Federal laws as well as the pharmacy's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitors methods of Infection control, ensures adherence to risk management procedures, and keeps in compliance with applicable regulations for inventory storage, control, security, and dispensing.
• Effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external customers, including inspecting deliveries for accuracy, and performing repetitive functions for extended periods and with distractions.
• Utilizes appropriate steps in effective decision-making which include data collection, priority setting, resource utilization, and offering of suggestions through collaboration with management and health care provider(s).
• Ability to retain composure under stress: Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment. Be able to perform computer work for extended periods, physically able to stand for hours of entire shifts, and move heavy objects of more than 30 lbs.
• Effective leadership and management skills, giving constructive feedback, conflict resolution, supervising Pharmacy Assistants: ensuring attendance punctuality, keeping time limits on breaks, and using periods of low activity to the Pharmacy/patient’s benefit.
• Shows interest and commitment through participation in in-store projects, promotional events, and other activities.
• Is cooperative and flexible in responding to change, assisting colleagues, or customers, and giving reasonable room for company strategy or system changes.
• Maintains a positive attitude, accepts and gives constructive criticism, and follows through to implement corrective measures.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures, dress code, code of conduct, and customer service, and meets all mandatory services.
• Demonstrates the ability to establish two-way communication by clearly defining expectations, communicating utilizing a variety of methods, actively listening to ideas and concerns, and responding appropriately.
• Demonstrates the ability to serve as a role model, adhering to and fostering a working relationship with colleagues that respects personal liberty, race, beliefs, or associations.
• Self-accountability for completion of competency standards, CE Credits, and Licensure requirements.
• Performs all other related miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy (BS or Doctor of Pharmacy) plus current license and registration to practice in New York State.
• Ability to work while standing for long periods is required.
• Experience with Micro Merchant (Prime Rx) is a plus.
• Retail Pharmacy experience is desirable.
Language
• Communicating fluently in written and verbal English is required. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
Shift/Days/Hours
• Negotiable, and may include Holidays and Weekends.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
