Pharmacist-in-Charge

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various pharmacy settings. This role requires a strong commitment to patient service, clinical excellence, and adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibilities • Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations, as well as company policies. • Oversee medication dispensing processes • Conduct patient assessments and provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication management and pain management strategies. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes. • Maintain accurate inventory management practices to ensure the availability of medications and supplies. • Implement and monitor pharmacy software systems, including EMR and EHR systems, for efficient workflow. • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and documentation. • Educate patients on medication administration techniques. • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Experience • Proven experience in pharmacy is preferred. • Critical care experience is highly desirable, along with a pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic technique. • Experience with patient service initiatives that enhance the overall patient experience. • Prior experience working with pharmacy technicians is advantageous.
