Introduction
Platform Engineering Services Solution Architect you’ll be a key player in a multi-disciplinary team made up of Engineers Data Scientists Designers Developers and Business Strategists. The brightest minds collaborating with clients as one team and contributing to experiential working sessions – the outputs of which produce minimal viable product (MVP) enterprise-scale solutions at lean start-up speed.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role of Platform Engineering Services Solution Architect ou’ll help deliver unique client co-creation experiences to accelerate their enterprise transformation programs.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Leadership: Act as the overall technical single point of contact for client-facing experiential engagements that encompass a broad range of public and hybrid cloud technologies.
  • Solution Development: Utilize expertise in contemporary cloud AI and analytics skills to develop frameworks and integrated solutions that address prospective clients’ most challenging problems using products and services from IBM’s offerings.
  • Solution Delivery: Manage all aspects of integrated solution delivery from identifying requirements to making technical decisions that impact the delivery of solutions ensuring they provide business value. Make sure that final proposals include provisions for security and reliability while meeting clients’ current and future needs.
  • Solutions Architecture Ownership: Take ownership of the solutions architecture plan and participate as a hands-on builder and developer in client-facing engagements.
  • Continuous Knowledge Expansion: Continually expand your knowledge in relevant areas including business industry technology and competitive benchmarks.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong technology consulting & sales experience including a proven ability to define and shape winning solutions for clients through establishing trusted relationships within which you identify shape quantify and address client pain points / opportunities.
  • Existing network within key accounts in the UK. Experience of public sector procurement an advantage.
  • Experience of selling professional services especially from within a service line managing a matrix stakeholder landscape.
  • Proven first class track record of selling cloud-based transformations including solutions related to application modernisation data & AI IoT / Edge security …
  • End to end sales experience – able to source leads manage to sale lead commercial negotiations – ideally including complex multi-year / high value & cost transformation programmes

  • Proven Hybrid Cloud Management capabilities
  • Delivering large scale cloud architectures
  • Experience in technically solutioning deals
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at the executive level
  • Demonstrated poeple management ability to lead and mentor staff of all levels
