About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing construction organization is seeking aPlumbing Estimatorto join its team. This role will play a critical part in managing the preconstruction process from inception to completion, including business development support, client engagement, budgeting, subcontractor/supplier coordination, risk evaluation, and bid preparation. This is a confidential search being conducted on behalf of the employer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. The duties and responsibilities include the following, though other duties may be assigned.
• Prepares detailed accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontracts, construction facilities, etc. estimates.
• Attends on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits.
• Develops and reviews scopes of work and accept, review, and analyze subcontractor quotes for best value.
• Prepares project bid status reports and ensure compliance with all specifications and contract Statements of Work and Bid Invitations.
• Presents cost estimates to meet customer proposals, providing consideration for general and special conditions.
• Ensures the flow of preconstruction information internally and externally is maintained and documented.
• Prepares scope specifications and requirements, prepare and inputs project schedules, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summary sheets, and input quantities into estimating software
• Compiles submittal from vendors; submits for processing; reviews and ensures submittals comply with project specifications, contractor requirements, and internal procedures.
• Receives change orders; provides pricing and forwards the finalized change order to the project manager or the general contractor.
• Prepares project write up; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
• Participates actively in business development efforts to identify and track client and project pursuits.
• Actively builds subcontractor/supplier database and relationships to ensure the best pricing.
• Creates and maintains estimating records and files; prepares and analyzes reports.
• Utilizes the appropriate company and industry historical data for pricing estimates.
• Complies with safety standards and procedures of industry; abides by established safety rules and procedures.
• Interacts professionally with other employees, customers, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Must have outstanding work attendance, performance attitude, and ethics.
Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred,
• Three years of relevant work experience, and
• Valid State Driver’s License

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
