We are recruiting a Power Quality Field Service Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install AC and DC systems efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and repair UPS systems in the field and at our facilities.
  • Replace batteries and conduct thorough site surveys.
  • Analyze electrical environments and diagnose MCCs, Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), and power distribution systems.
  • Compile detailed site analysis reports.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with customers.
  • Promote and sell Eaton Electrical South Africa service offerings.
  • Prepare monthly service activity reports.
  • Participate in standby service as required.
  • Travel extensively, both nationally and internationally.
  • Adhere to Eaton EHS standards and seek guidance when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: N-Dip in Electrical Engineering or higher.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years with UPS systems.
    • 2+ years in data center operations.
    • 5+ years in power electronics.
    • 5+ years in field service roles.

Skills:

  • Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of AC and DC systems and electrical distribution.
  • Proficient computer and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong work ethic, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Valid driver's license, ID, and passport.
