Company Overview Children's Playhouse is dedicated to nurturing the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child through a unique program that fosters a lifelong love of literacy and learning. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to align with Pennsylvania's Early Learning Standards, ensuring that every child receives the best possible start in their educational journey. Children's Playhouse is seeking a passionate and dedicated Substitute Pre-K Counts Teacher to join our team. The Substitute Teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and care to Pre-K Counts students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes children's social, emotional, and academic development. This is an immediate opening with a guaranteed contract through June 30th, 2025, and the potential for contract renewal for the 2025-2026 school year. Responsibilities: • Implement lesson plans and instructional activities as directed by the regular classroom teacher. • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children. • Supervise and interact with children during all activities, including circle time, small group instruction, free play, and outdoor play. • Assess children's progress and provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher. • Maintain classroom management and positive discipline strategies. • Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues. • Utilize daily prep time without children to prepare for lessons and classroom activities. • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Qualifications: • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. • LEVEL I certification. • Experience working with preschool-aged children. • Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and other required clearances.
