Principal SRE Engineer
Position summary:
The Principal SRE / DevOps Developer will be part of the Dragon Medical Virtual Assistant team that provide advanced Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant like functionality for health care professionals. They will be participating by helping to ensure the Azure infrastructure portion of the service stack has an SDLC and that the processes and environments force quality and correctness into the dev/test cycles prioritizing service Availability, Performance, Capacity, Security and Compliance.

Responsibilities
We are looking for a detail-oriented Principal Site Reliability Engineer with a strong attention to detail, problem solving & trouble shooting skills, a strong networking background, and experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers. Responsibilities include:

• Participate in ongoing requirements, architecture, and design discussions regarding the optimum selection and deployment of Azure products and services.
• Design and execution of Azure Devops duties to run our CI/CD pipeline
• Participate On-Call by being available to discuss and resolve technical issues and escalations.
• Assist in team development growth by mentoring other SRE members of the team and ensuring tribal knowledge is documented to a high standard.
• Ability to use the provided data/information, perform an in-depth analysis, exercise judgment in selecting methods & , techniques to obtain results.
• Networks with key contacts inside and outside of the development team.

Skills Required:

• Experience with Azure cloud services including AKS, Azure function, storage, data lake, app services, and Azure Active Directory.
• Expertise administering Linux and Windows systems.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Networking (VNets, subnets, gateways, load balancers, firewalls).
• Hands-on experience with Configuration Management technologies such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with document tasks using Jira align / Jira / Confluence
• Monitoring system logs, system activities, network performance, cloud resources using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights and PowerBI.
• Programming skills with C#/Java and scripting languages like JavaScript or Python.
• Experience working in a Scrum environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; willingness to present technical information to a group

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with microservice design
• Knowledge of distributed systems programming (HTTP/S, Websockets, gRPC, inter-process..)
• Knowledge of web back-end framework, open-standard format and protocols e.g. JSON, XML, HTTP(S), REST

Minimum years of work experience:

• 8 years of Cloud technology & System Admin / Operation

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology/Informatics
• Azure Certifications such as AZ-104 Azure Administrator or AZ-204 Azure Developer Associate.
