Position Definition:

The Project Manager is responsible for the success and timely delivery of new product developments, product improvements, and process initiatives. The project manager will report directly to the Director of Product Management and work alongside the Product Managers, Product Development Engineers, and Marketing staff.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to anticipate and address potential issues (design, supply chain, manufacturing concerns, etc.). They are a strong team player, proactive, possesses creative problem-solving skills, demonstrates good business judgment, and effectively communicates among project stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for planning, directing, and managing projects from initiation through to implementation.
• Engages with product owner, project stakeholders, and development teams to elicit product parameters and translate to successful execution strategies.
• Responsible for managing project costs, schedule, resources, and risks to ensure maximum business benefit is maintained and providing product owners with regular status updates.
• Leads check-in meetings with internal departments.
• Coordinates communication and facilitates resolution of issues and changes that impact product development initiatives.
• Solicits and manages product feedback post-launch and address needed corrections or quality issues.

Qualifications:

• Organization: Set priorities, monitor progress, and track project details, data, and activities.
• Communication: Ability to communicate project priorities among a variety of departments
• Decision Making: Assess project risks and determine action due to importance and urgency that are in the best interests of the organization.
• Problem Solving: Assess problems to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, and generate solutions.
• Data literacy.
• PMP Certification preferred.

Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work in design or engineering.
• 3+ years project management experience preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a bonus.
