What you’ll do at Elekta

At Elekta, we don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone dealing with cancer. The Maintenance and Product Introduction team is multifaceted, with a mixture of strong technical and project management skills, providing the expertise to secure robust production solutions for the Elekta Neuro business.

As a Product Engineer, you will be a part of a team that drives engineering changes of the existing products in the Neuro portfolio, including Leksell Gamma Knife and Leksell Vantage Stereotactic System, and perform product maintenance under their entire product life cycle.

You will be part of an agile scrum team responsible for Product Maintenance of the Neuro products, working with the issues that are of the highest priority to the company and to the customers. You will also help release new products to manufacturing as a member of a release project team.

Responsibilities

In addition to the above, the Product Engineer will also take on responsibilities such as:

  • Driving engineering change initiatives.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with production and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolving product defects, manufacturing issues and component obsolescence issues.
  • Releasing and implementing product updates in production.
  • Act as technical support to our suppliers (production).
  • Verification, as part of engineering changes.

What you bring

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have work experience of working with complex hardware, and prior experience in the Medical Device Industry is an advantage. We also think you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in either mechanical or electrical engineering. In addition, we believe you have:

  • Knowledge in Design Change Control.
  • Experience from manufacturing processes, of creating manufacturing documentation and of risk analysis and product requirements.
  • Been working in PLM/PDM and ERP system (Enovia and M3).
  • Product knowledge in CBCT imaging systems.
  • Reach, RoHs and EMC compliance.
