Product Management Director - Traditional Life and Annuities

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide senior management visibility into product-oriented items through regular reporting. This will be accomplished via product recommendations that align with the strategic objectives of the division. The Product Management Director will guide product initiatives through the established product development processes, build distribution partners and enhance the connection between distribution leadership and actuarial pricing team(s). Additionally, the Director will help the company stay abreast of relevant product market developments and emerging technology related to the product portfolio.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor the health of the current product offering portfolio
• Construct & deliver product recommendations for senior management
• Product development process responsibilities
• Build distribution partnerships (an example is networking at Brokerage General Agency events)
• Regular touch points & input/feedback requests from sales distribution. Responsibilities also include working with all relevant internal teams to construct effective and timely product communication to the field.
• Communicate product market developments by partnering with internal competitive intelligence professional(s), along with other methods
• Stay aware of emerging technology that could be leveraged to improve the product portfolio & provide regular communications & recommendations

We are seeking:

• B.A./B.S., College degree
• 3+ years experience in financial services/insurance industry
• Previous experience in product development, management of product pipeline in an insurance company
• Outstanding communication skills - both verbal and written
• Exceptional ability to manage multiple workstreams and guide projects through to completion
• Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 07B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
