Position Title: Product Management Intern

Role

As a member of the Data and Digital team at Crown Castle, the Product Management Intern can expect to gain hands-on experience in supporting critical business processes through participation in product requirements gathering, systems mapping, and story-writing with members of the development team. The intern should have strong technical understanding, interpersonal skills, and a succinct writing style. The intern can expect mentorship from members of the Product organization, exposure to a variety of skilled and senior subject matter experts, and to gain experience in large-scale business transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to groom the product backlog and manage epics, features, and stories.
  • Work closely with business partners to define and measure product metrics for user-friendly experiences.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand pressing business objectives and prioritize epics, features, and stories.
  • Learn to develop Epics, Features, and User Stories, along with acceptance criteria, collaborating with engineering teams for backlog management.

Education/Certifications

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026.
  • Preferred field(s) of study: business, marketing, engineering, IT.

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • An interest in product management in the telecommunications industry.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong research and organizational skills.
  • Interest in both the technology and commercial aspects of the telecommunications industry.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship.

Reports to: Director, Product Management

Work Plans: This role falls into our remote work model that does not require in-office work or travel.

For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents - The hiring range offered for this position is $19.50/hour.
