Education:  Required – Associate degree in business, marketing, communications, social services or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Work Experience:  Required - 1 + years’ facilitating and implementing various projects to include community outreach and family engagement.  Demonstrated success with special events and public speaking.

Preferred - Fundraising experience preferred.

Experience in serving individuals with disabilities is a plus but not necessary

Summary:  The ideal candidate for the Program Coordinator position must have excellent written and communication skills, possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively and independently to achieve stated goals on deadlines.  At the direction of the Executive Director this position will ensure programmatic excellence, providing rapid and ongoing support to beneficiaries at internal and external events. This position plays an active role in new proposal development efforts, assisting and/or writing proposals or filling other roles in the proposal development process as needed and expanding Project Angel Fares’ funding and partnership opportunities and growth.

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:

1.    Support the planning and execution of program events.
2.    Assist in raising and securing annual “family sponsorships” funding.
3.    Assist in developing and managing event calendars, timelines, budgets, and logistical support.
4.    Promote program events, manage invitations, conduct presentations, and coordinate social media or email campaigns related to the events.
5.    Create and distribute invitations, manage RSVPs, and assist the application process.
6.    Assist in sourcing and negotiating contracts with venues, vendors, and suppliers.
7.    Coordinate on-site personnel, including volunteers and staff, to ensure smooth execution of program events. 
8.    Foster and grow relationships among current and prospective donors.


Other Responsibilities:

1.    Represents Project Angel Fares and BCFS Health and Human Services by maintaining positive relationships and communication with the community, families, churches, the public, government, state and other federal agencies that result in a positive image and excellent reputation of the organization. 
2.    Serve on project teams, or in an advisory capacity, to support organizational initiatives.
3.    Maintain confidentiality in all areas of client and program operations. 
4.    In the absence of the Executive Director, represents the Executive Director in meetings, programmatic decisions, and the execution of programmatic strategies.
5.    Provide stakeholders with post-event assessments to gauge effectiveness. 
6.    Capture lessons learned to improve future events.
7.    Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
1.    Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
2.    Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request. 
3.    Pass pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks, as required. 
4.    Demonstrate computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office apps:  Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
5.    Demonstrate the ability to: 
a.    Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
b.    Maintain excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to include the ability to be resourceful and think quickly on your feet.
c.    Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
d.    Master time management and ability to prioritize.
6.    Maintain professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and always complying with required dress code. 
7.    Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by supervisor.
