Job Description

Position Overview TheProject Manager & Estimatorwill oversee the day-to-day management of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will also work closely with the head estimator to review project plans, bid on projects, and ensure accurate cost estimation. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Project Management • Plan: Coordinate with Estimators, Project Managers, and Supervisors before project starts to ensure a smooth launch. Review all contract terms, drawings, and safety plans. Anticipate project needs, including equipment, subcontractors, and team assignments. Establish a safety plan and ensure compliance with all safety protocols. • Set Goals and Provide Leadership: Set clear, measurable goals for supervisors and crews; provide daily or weekly check-ins to ensure progress and troubleshoot issues. • Stay on Budget: Monitor costs, manpower, and materials to ensure that the project stays within budget. Track billing and change orders to avoid cost overruns. • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update clients and senior management on project progress. Address any concerns promptly and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers. • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks early, conduct daily site inspections, and ensure all safety protocols are followed. Estimating • Review Project Documents: Study project specifications, drawings, and schedules to prepare accurate bids. • Takeoff & Estimate: Conduct detailed takeoffs, estimate labor, material, and equipment costs, and assemble competitive bids. • Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit quotes from subcontractors and review bids to ensure the best pricing and scope coverage. • Proposals & Bids: Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages, outlining scope of work, pricing, exclusions, and clarifications. • Change Orders: Prepare and manage change orders based on client requests or project scope deviations. Required Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). • Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction project management and estimating. • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project planning, and cost estimation. • Familiarity with construction contracts, drawings, and specifications. • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently. Desired Skills • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and regulations. • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project conditions.
